Monorail system with an exclusive assembly unit at Jöris Timmerwerken
This month, Railtechniek van Herwijnen placed a monorail system at Jöris Timmerwerken. In addition to a number of dropsections and a swing arm, the system also contains an exclusive assembly unit that makes it even easier to assemble the (large) wooden window frames.
Jöris Timmerwerken is a family company from Vlodrop that specialises in the production of wooden window frames, windows and doors intended for residential or commercial construction. In addition to new construction projects, Jöris also produces wooden products for renovation projects. In order to facilitate production and make it more efficient, Jöris called in the help of Railtechniek van Herwijnen.
Jöris was looking for a system that could transport the wooden window frames, windows and doors from one building to another and with which the products could be easily stored and assembled. Railtechniek van Herwijnen came up with the solution: a monorail system 240.000 with a swing arm and an exclusive assembly unit. The products that have already been treated can be transported from one building to another by using a swing arm. The products can then be buffered for final assembly. The swing arm can also be rotated, allowing vehicles to pass through. To facilitate the assembly, Railtechniek has designed a special assembly unit. By means of a tilting mechanism in this unit, the frame can be placed horizontally, in order to be able to carry out the necessary assembly operations. Once the products are ready, they can be transported to a storage location through the dropsections with the associated pendulum beams.
